PRESERVING LANGUAGES OF OUR PAST, PRESENT, AND FUTURE

The Phoenix Language Project is a nonprofit organization and resource to help protect, preserve, and raise awareness of our world's endangered languages.

SUPPORT ENDANGERED LANGUAGES

More than half of our world's languages will disappear in the next 75 years. With the loss of each language, we lose important medicinal knowledge, zoological and herbal information, history, and a culture. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE!

The Phoenix Language Project is dedicated to fighting the problem of endangered languages in three steps:

  • Raise awareness

    • By donating books written in endangered languages, our Library Partner Project allows outreach to a larger segment of the population, especially those that are unaware of this huge problem. To learn more about our Library Partner Project, click here.

  • Educate

    • Our team has thoroughly researched each language and handpicked each resource to create the most comprehensive and informative site as possible. Each language page contains an introduction, statistics, a map showing where it is spoken, and resources for visitors to learn about all aspects of the language. Our site is constantly being revised and updated, so the information is all up to date and accurate. To access our Online Library, click here.

  • Preserve

    • With our website, we hope to compile as many existing and quality resources about each endangered language in one location. Our goal is to create a database that will serve as a helpful tool for those that are as passionate about these languages as us!
